See What’s New in Seaside This Summer

June 23, 2021 | by Jen Anderson

Find more fun spots that have opened since 2021 here.

When’s the last time you visited Seaside? Maybe it was last season, or last year or back when you were a kid. In any case, there’s always something new in town — from amazing spots for pizza, beer and wine to awesome attractions and comfy places to rest your head. Here’s what’s new to explore in Seaside.

Lauded as one of the top pizza places on the Coast, Pizza a’fetta (611 Broadway) expanded to Seaside in 2020 after three decades of success in Cannon Beach. Prepared with housemade crusts and sauces, their whole pies are crowd-pleasers, whether you dine in for an intimate experience or take back to your lodging. Their pie by the slice is an easy way to grab a quick bite as you’re exploring Broadway. Gluten-free crust is available.

Founded by Yin Na, a certified tea-art specialist from China, the brand-new Tea Artist (737 Broadway) shop brings a rainbow of beautifully creative and delicious bubble teas, baked goods and ice cream to Seaside. Stop in to discover something new and treat the family.

With a nod to American and British icons like James Bond, John Wayne and The Beatles, Legends Public House (1111 N. Roosevelt) is a new restaurant and gastropub at Seaside Outlets. Find sandwiches like a Monte Cristo with maple syrup bacon dip alongside plenty of beers on tap, big-screen TVs showing sports and the owner’s radio-broadcasting booth at the front of the restaurant.

It’s time to conquer that fear of heights — or just cheer on your thrill-seeking friends and family — at High Life Adventure Park (2520 S. Roosevelt), an aerial adventure park with a variety of ropes, beams, platforms and other obstacles to navigate about 20 to 40 feet above the ground. Kids must be at least 7 years old and 44 inches tall and must be able to reach a height of 60 inches to participate.

The fresh-smoked salmon at Salmon River Smokehouse (261 S. Columbia) is sourced from the Nisqually Tribal Hatchery and Native Fishery in Tumwater, Wash., with sustainable practices to promote native salmon habitat restoration. You’ll want to buy some to eat on the spot, plus some for home and more for a friend.

Just a block from the Seaside Aquarium and the Promenade, SaltLine Hotel (250 1st) is the gorgeous new boutique hotel that brings something a little more contemporary to Seaside. An outdoor patio and fire pit, complimentary bike rentals, luxurious amenities, and family- and pet-friendly environment will make the whole crew happy.
