Episode Six: Phillips Candies

There’s been a candy store at this location in downtown Seaside since way back in 1897, and it’s been in the Phillips family since the early 1930s. Phillips Candies heralds back to the golden age of confectionery delights and has become a haven for nostalgia seeking enthusiasts. From humble historical beginnings to sugar rationing during the war years, join us as owner Steve Phillips takes us back in time to the beginning of a delicious Seaside tradition.

Where: Located in downtown Seaside at 217 Broadway.

Directions: On the corner of Broadway and Highway 101, head west down Broadway. Continue west across the Broadway bridge and proceed approximately 1.5 blocks. Phillips Candies will be on the left hand side of Broadway before you arrive at the intersection of Broadway & Columbia.

The Cove in Seaside
