1859 – Oregon’s Magazine: 72 Hours In Seaside

July 1, 2014 | by Jon Rahl

1859 came to Seaside/Gearhart area and spent 72 hours in our fair neck of the woods.

Day One they highlighted the historic Gilbert District, Rivertide Suites on the Necanicum River, Beach Books, Seaside Brewing, and Green Dreams Billiards on Holladay Drive.

Day Two they spent some time at Gearhart Golf Links, the oldest course west of the Mississippi, hiked the Tillamook Head Trail, and visited downtown hot spots like Wheel Fun Rentals, Seaside Carousel, and the bumper cars. This day, they stopped in at restaurants like Big Kahuna Bar and Grill, Maggie’s on the Prom, and Twisted Fish Steakhouse.

Day Three was spent along Seaside’s famous Promenade with stops off at the Seaside Aquarium and the Salt Works monument. They also visited the Firehouse Grill and Bell Buoy of Seaside market.  Read the complete article.
