Seaside’s First Saturday Art Walk is a free event that takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside.
SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.
Celebrating the art of three resident artists. Robin Montero with her handmade felted art, the inspirational Spirit Dolls of Jan Barber, and mixed media icons by Zemula Fleming. David Crabtree and Ray Coffey will be providing live music to round out the evening.
Pacific Heirloom Art and Collectables, 608 Broadway St.
Features antique reproduction globes of Earth delineating the boundaries of nations and understanding cartography at a given point in world history.
Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.
Opening reception for “A Second Glance,” an exhibition that depicts a look into art concepts. Features woodturner Mike Brown, watercolorist Mary Burgess, mixed media art by Pam Haunschild, plein air artist Melissa Jander, glass artist Carolyn Myers Lindberg, botanical artist Mike Mason, and oil painter Lisa Wiser. Introducing textile artist Bobbie Garlington and hammered pewter artist Barb Sedgwick.
Paul Brent will offer a Seaside Painting LIVE (™) episode throughout the eventing. Neal Maine, naturalist and wildlife photographer, will present a habitat lecture at 6 p.m.
TigerLily Gallery, 613 Broadway St.
Featuring oil painter Mary Parkes, a former Santa Fe, New Mexico artist, who recently moved to Portland, Oregon. With a small studio in her new home, Parkes writes that she “paints nearly every day because it makes me happier than anything else; I just love finding new subjects to put down on canvas.”
The Whet Spot, 12 N. Holladay Dr.
Seaside’s taproom featuring all the local Northwest named beers, wines, ciders, as well as an ever-changing gallery display of local abstract and whimsical art.
Starry Night Inn and Art Hotel, 811 1st Ave.
Each room in the hotel, including the lobby, dining room, and halls, feature original art and prints from a curated list of Portland, Oregon artists.
