First Saturday Art Walk
Event Navigation
Seaside’s First Saturday Art Walk is a free event that takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside.
Crafted in Seaside, 530 Broadway St.
The gallery features more than 30 local artists and makers curated by Dawn Fujiwara-Pavlik. It facilitates a creative studio where visitors can use their designs to make keepsake items such as tumblers, puzzles, and canvas-style Reveal art paintings. The store also represents AJ Wahl’s beach-themed resin necklaces and jewelry. The gallery offers Paint and Sip classes.
SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.
Welcomes new artist Laura Jacobson and her fanciful clay dioramas into the gallery. Originally from SoCal, she cites her influences as Hollywood, the theater, and Disney. As a Seaside resident, she is influenced by our magnificent coastline and surrounding mountains. We are also featuring Jan Barber’s inspirational Messenger Dolls and natural stone mosaics by Kath Jones.
Pacific Heirloom and Collectibles, 608 Broadway St.
This feature features authentic glass floats from many countries. The first evidence of fishermen using them was in the late 1700s when they were used with fishing nets. Most will show signs of use and impurities. Most floats are shades of green; however, clear, amber, aquamarine, amethyst, blue, and other colors were also produced. The most prized and rare color is a red or cranberry hue.
Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.
Presents the gallery’s spring exhibit, “Free Spirited,” featuring unique Seaside and Gearhart local artists. Cherry Harris showcases her journey in textiles of dimensional layering and embroidery and introduces her world of saturated in bright colors, multi-medium layering, and embroidery. Cicely Gilman’s patterns of hand-painted silks using salt and alcohol. Shanon Kathleen Johnson’s work in impressionistic oil painting will be explored, and Robin Labadie Montero’s textile sets will be displayed.
TigerLily Gallery and Boutique, 613 Broadway St.
Presents work by Dimensional Diva, a design team that creates unique and distinctive art, lighting, and decor for the modern coastal home. Using upcycled materials, found objects, and natural elements, the work is multidimensional and often features their exclusive hand-made paper and resin components.
Rooted Art Seaside Gallery, 810 Broadway St.
The gallery features the woven art of Alysia Love and driftwood sculptures by Erin Paysse, co-owners, cousins, and life-long artists who began making art collaboratively in 2021. It also shows pottery, watercolors, oil paintings, wooden bowls, and other works by Oregon and Washington state artists.
Additional art is available during the day at Seaside Antique Mall, 726 Broadway; Seaside Coffee House, 5 Holladay Drive; Starry Night Inn and Art Hotel, 811 First Ave.; and The Whet Spot, 12 Holladay Drive.
