Seaside’s First Saturday Art Walk is a free event that takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside.
Seaside Public Library, 1131 Broadway St.
This is the debut showing for the Seaside Art Walk, featuring works from students at Seaside High School. The teacher, Joel Dierickx, selected art from 16-20 students to display at the Library.
Rooted Art Seaside Gallery, 810 Broadway St.
Featuring the work of cousins Erin and Alysia, who are local Washington artists. They have both been artists for life and began making art collaboratively in 2021.
Showcasing other talented local artists. Currently all art pieces and products are sold in-store. Taking applications to art classes on specific art topics or mediums. Offering a vendor fair during the Art Walk.
TigerLily Gallery and Boutique, 613 Broadway St.
Featured this month is Mark Kenny, known as a triple threat in the local art scene as an artist/sculptor who works in many mediums. He will show an original bronze titled “End of the Day,” a salute to our local logging history. There will be some wood-carved pieces, including the whimsical “Octopus Bench,” and some ocean-themed paintings.
Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.
Opening reception for the STROKES OF GENIUS exhibition, featuring Zifen Qian, artist, professor, and founding father of New Conceptual Romanticism, whose profile is in “Who’s Who in America” and “Who’s Who in the World.” Introducing moon jar artist Hui Yong Kim, who creates glazing techniques that mimic planetary movements. Welcoming Barbara Paanakker, an abstract artist using mediums found in metal, paper, and organic materials, such as eggshells. Offering LIVE music by Chelsea LaFey and John Orr.
Pacific Heirloom and Collectibles, 608 Broadway St.
Featuring a vintage oil canvas that is the work of Portland artist R. Dumas, who captures oil paintings in subtle colors and fine textures. The collectible art is beautifully framed and is an original work of art.
SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.
Featuring wearable art upcycled jeans jackets by Charlotte Bruhn, new Messenger Dolls by Seaside’s own Jan Barber with themes that help you relate to your inner wise woman and the whimsical Quilted Paintings of Ronni Harris. Light appetizers will be served, accompanied by live music by the Beat Greens.
Crafted in Seaside, 530 Broadway St.
Featuring unique handmade gifts by local artists and makers. Presenting a studio that allows customers to use their photos or designs and turn them into keepsake items like tumblers, puzzles, sweatshirts, t-shirts, key chains, and canvas-style Reveal Art paintings. In addition, we also offer fun craft kits like Sand Dollar Magnet and Clay Magnet painting kits, jewelry-making kits, and crafting supplies.
