First Saturday Art Walk

Seaside’s First Saturday Art Walk is a free event that takes place between Holladay Drive and Broadway Street in the Historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside.

Starry Night Inn and Art Hotel, 811 First Ave.

Introducing Caroline Green’s bold and bright bird paintings, now on display in Suite 10, whose current works use layering techniques in oil and acrylic to create saturated color palettes inspired by nature and the galaxy.

The Whet Spot, 12 Holladay Drive.

Local artist Kandy Schwartz has added to her colorful collection. Come see her abstract work. Mason, the rescued street dog, now a mascot, will attend.

Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.

Opening reception for GET STARTED featuring designer Rene Hafeman, who writes, “My passion is to create from vintage, retro-modern, and mid-century things, new jewelry with memories and give each a new start.” Welcoming summertime oil painter Victoria Brooks and watercolor artist Paul Brent, whose work is the cover of the City of Seaside 2024 Visitors Bureau tourism book. Displaying abstracts by Vicki Baker and glass art by Jah Young Park. Providing LIVE music by Jason Lambert.

Pacific Heirloom and Collectibles, 608 Broadway St.

Featuring vintage cookie jars, offering Kay’s brownies, and spotlighting Mica, the store’s pet black lab.

SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.

Featuring Laura Jacobson’s charcoal portraits, acrylic paintings, glass mosaics, mixed media, clay, chalk art and sewing. Other featured artists are Jan Barber with her Messenger Dolls and Mari Cardinal Walker, as well as her fun credit card mosaics. Fresh appetizers will be served, and live music will be provided by Ray Coffey and David Crabtree of the Beat Greens.

TigerLily Gallery and Boutique, 613 Broadway St.

Featuring Lori O’Haver, a resident of the Pacific Northwest since childhood who paints beautiful coastlines. Lori is self-taught except for a few high school classes. She enjoys the freedom of painting on large canvases. Lori resides in Ridgefield, WA.

Crafted in Seaside, 530 Broadway St.

Presenting craft, sip nights, crafting supplies, and jewelry-making kits.

Additional art is available during the day at Seaside Antique Mall, 726 Broadway, and Seaside Coffee House, 5 Holladay Drive.
