Celebrating 21 years in 2025, Seaside First Saturday Art Walk is a free event in the Historic Gilbert District between Holladay & Broadway in downtown Seaside. Meet artists, see art, and hear live music.
Tiger Lily Boutique and Art Gallery – 613 Broadway Street
Featuring a rare find. 20 framed linotype prints by the renowned Pacific NW artist Dennis Cunningham. These pieces are illustrations from William Stafford’s “The Osage Orange Tree” book. Cunningham was an educator teaching art at Marylhurst University. Stafford, an American poet, father of poet and essayist Kim Stafford, and was appointed the twentieth Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress.
Garden Gate – 606 Broadway Street
It features handmade terracotta garden sculptures, reflecting its fundamental composition of “baked earth.” Artisans have molded clay into interesting shapes used for architectural purposes. Terracotta has gained prominence in landscaping for its durability and versatility.
Pacific Heirloom and Collectibles – 608 Broadway Street
The place features an extensive collection of nautical and vintage books. It is also a charming antique store that sells various other items, such as dishware, model ships, books, and more.
Fairweather House and Gallery – 612 Broadway Street
Opening reception for Setting the Scene, an exhibition focusing on Pacific Northwest artists’ original art. Featuring textiles by Cicely Gilman, gemstone art by geologist Charisse Mai, pastels by Greta Lindwood, oils by Melissa Jander, and en plein works by Bev Drew Kindley. Seaside acoustic musician Jason Lambert provides LIVE music.
The Whet Spot – 12 North Holladay Drive
Featuring Seaside resident abstract artist Kandy Schwartz, a Seaside resident. The Whet Spot also features many other well-known local artists with exciting personalities. Patrons can enjoy craft beers, ciders, and wines in the newly expanded gathering room, which serves as a gallery wall for the artists.
Ruby Tides – 10 N. Holladay Drive
This jewelry store is new to Art Walk and features delicate, handmade pendant necklaces, rings, and earrings. Nothing is imported. Beautiful fixtures were repurposed and came from the Golden Whale, Cannon Beach. Introducing Jiang Lachman’s line of rings that highlight large collector’s stones. The ladies operating the store have more than 32 years of experience in the jewelry business.
Sunrose Art and Whimsy – 734 Broadway Street
They will participate in their new location inside Bliss Mercantile and Brocante, a coastal French marketplace. Patty Thurlby’s whimsical upcycled art and ceramics and the French-themed oil paintings of Paris-schooled Mimi Cernyar Fox will be featured. Light appetizers and the famous SunRose Gallery tea will be served.
