FREERazor Clamming Lessons
Event Navigation
Let’s Go Razor Clamming. Come learn to dig razor clams at Fort Stevens State Park on Saturday, April 7, 2016 at 7:00am. Meet on the beach at the Peter Iredale Shipwreck for the program that will cover clamming equipment, what to look for (clam I.D.), minimum impact techniques including how to clean and prepare your clams, ethics and regulations. Wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting wet and dirty. Rubber boots are suggested. And since it is spring on the Oregon Coast, you never know what the weather will bring, so be sure to dress appropriately. Bring your own bucket or container for your clams. A limited amount of clamming equipment will be provided; anyone 12 years or older will need an Oregon Shellfish license to clam. To purchase a shellfish license click here
