FreeSeaside’s First Saturday Art Walk
The Seaside First Saturday Art Walk is all about the arts. Visitors wander, meet artists, sip wine or sample appetizers by favorite restaurants or personal chefs. They can view artist demonstrations, listen to an artist talk or enjoy live performances in music. The art walk is held on the first Saturday of every month, 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at businesses, shops, boutiques and dining establishments located between Holladay Drive and Broadway in the historic Gilbert District of downtown Seaside with courtesy parking available on the corner of Holladay and Oceanway.
Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway, in the Gilbert Building– Opening reception for BLOOM, featuring artists Bev Drew Kindley, Gretha Lindwood and Susan Curington. Photographer/ biologist/ naturalist Neal Maine will speak about the ecology of the local habitats at 6:00pm.
SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway, in the Gilbert Building – SunRose opens the April Art Walk with new artist Leslie Gibbons’ “Sacred Creativity”, local fiber artist Robin Montero is stretching her wings with a collection of jewelry and artist Mimi Cernyar Fox, who creates her amazing sand dollar mosaic “paintings” exclusively for SunRose.
Moxie, Shine On!, 609 Broadway, in the Kirwin Building – Moxie features exclusive jewelry and art where everything is handmade. As a member of the Fair Trade Federation, Moxie demonstrates a genial and equitable approach to conducting business.
Beach Books, 616 Broadway, in the Gilbert Building – Featuring artist Jim Zaleski, who combines the traditional art forms of painting and drawing with a computer world to produce art that is loaded with whimsy.
T.anjuli Gallery, 7 North Holladay Drive, in the Wheatley/ Desler Building – Artist Billy Lutz is the gallery owner/ resident artist/ Seaside philosopher, whose body of work gathered spans a career of 30 years of mature thematic painting.
