Seaside Stories

Portland to Seaside by Bus

March 18, 2015 | by Jon Rahl

Writer Stephanie Paris’ blog, Portland by Blog was born from her love of public transit. A Portland native, Paris shares experiences about exploring the area without a car. Travel to restaurants, festivals and events, shopping and the like.

Recently, Paris traveled with her family to Seaside from Portland using the Northwest Point bus line. The Paris family spent time exploring Seaside.

“Falling in love with Seaside was one of the easiest things I’ve ever done,” Paris wrote. “With its unique whimsical charm and old-timey character, it has become one of my family’s favorite weekend destinations. It’s the kind of place that has the ability to appeal to everyone due to the fact that there is just so much to do, see, eat, discover, and experience.”

Paris documented her stay here in Seaside in a recent blog post where she mentions several of the local treasures she and her family found, like The Inn at Seaside, The Stand,Beach Books, and of course Funland Arcade and the Seaside Aquarium, to name a few. Here’s a link to the complete Seaside by blog post.
